6. Do anything but wait around
Life is full of intervals of waiting: airport terminals, doctor’s offices, holding for the next customer service representative. Instead of scrolling mindlessly through your phone while the Muzak plays, do 10 air squats. Reset your posture by pulling your shoulders back and down. Squeeze your glutes one at a time. This might not be a huge calorie burn, especially if you’re in line at Chipotle, but do it 10 times a day and it adds up. More important, it resets your posture and puts you in better position to train harder when you do hit the gym or track.
